Do you know what problems should be considered when selecting NC blades?
The following aspects should also be considered when selecting NC machine tools to process blades:
(1) The type, specification and accuracy grade of NC blade shall meet the processing requirements, and the blade material shall be compatible with the workpiece material.
(2) Good cutting performance. In order to adapt to the use of large back feed and high feed when rough machining or machining difficult to machine materials, the blade must be able to withstand high-speed cutting and cutting. At the same time, the cutting performance and blade life of the same batch of blades must be stable, so that the tool can be changed according to the blade life or the blade life can be managed by the CNC system.
(3) High precision. In order to meet the requirements of high-precision CNC machining and automatic tool change, the blade should have high-precision, such as the radial dimension accuracy of some integral end milling cutters up to 0.005 mm.
(4) High reliability. In order to ensure that the blade will not appear accidental damage and potential defects in the NC processing, which will affect the smooth processing, it is required that the blade and its combination accessories have good reliability and strong adaptability.
(5) High durability. Whether in rough machining or finish machining, the blades used in CNC machining should have higher durability than those used in ordinary machine tools, so as to minimize the number of times of replacing or grinding blades and tool setting, thus improving the processing efficiency of CNC machine tools and ensuring the processing quality.
(6) Good chip breaking and chip removal performance. In numerical control processing, chip breaking and chip removal cannot be handled manually in time like ordinary machine tools. The chip is easy to wrap around the NC blade and workpiece, which will damage the blade and scratch the processing surface of the workpiece, even cause personal injury and equipment accidents, affecting the processing quality and the stable operation of the machine tool. Therefore, the blade is required to have good chip breaking and chip removal performance.
