Milling characteristics: the milling cutter is a kind of multi edge cutter, which has a large number of working teeth. It can be stepped milling or high-speed milling, so the production rate is high. Milling process is a continuous cutting process. At the moment when the cutting edge cuts in and out of the workpiece, impact and vibration will occur. When the vibration frequency is consistent with the natural frequency of the machine tool, the vibration will intensify, causing tooth breakage, and even damaging machine tool parts. In addition, the change of milling force due to the mid-term change of milling thickness will also cause vibration. The working time of the cutting edge is short, which is beneficial to the heat dissipation and cooling of the cutting edge, but the periodic thermal deformation will cause the thermal fatigue crack of the cutting edge, causing the tooth peeling or blade breakage.
The characteristics of NC tools The height of the blade and the handle is universal, standardized and serialized; Rationality of blade or tool life and economic life; Standardization and typification of geometric parameters and cutting parameters of inserts or tools; The blade or tool material and cutting parameters shall match the material to be machined; The cutter shall have high accuracy; The knife handle shall have high strength, rigidity and wear resistance; Limited installed quality of tool handle or tool system; The cutting position and direction of blade and handle are required; The positioning datum of blade and tool handle and the automatic tool change system should be optimized.
